A LAND OF HOPE AND A LAND OF DREAMS

Now and again, dreamers find reality to be something they cannot enjoy and can no longer have the safety around them for the ones they love, and sometimes we hear of those dreamers and what they wish they could really see in life.

Many people enjoy dreaming of new, wonderful lives, new places, and ideas every day, and they hope to find a haven for themselves and their families in a special part of the world.

We see that often as people run from wars and devastation and try to come to America, where people have always been welcome, and their lives become better without the gunshots, beatings, massive deaths, and bombs destroying their homes.

When one nation bombs and destroys another, they should expect to find retaliation for the damage and deaths they have created. Often, most of those reasons for invading other’s homes or places they love are due to greed, religious beliefs, or simple jealousy and hate.

Even today, throughout the world, we see governments who wish to control others, the lands, the minerals, and resources for more wealth and cheap labor.

If any government can destroy people’s values, ideas, and feelings of safety, it can control the population.

If that government can reduce the rights of the people and place the wealthiest in the country over them as if they were more important than life itself, people will work for very little or nothing to feed and protect the families they love.

When any government or nation controls people’s lives by controlling wages, health care, old age benefits, and the money they have saved over the years, those people feel confined and trapped as they have felt for over 45 years in America.

At one time, everyone paid a fair share of what they made in the United States of America, and when the richest of the nation bought a President and Congress and told them to drop the tax revenue on the rich and what they call corporations, they did.

Think of an apple but in four equal parts and understand that one apple fed many Millions of people. I know it’s far-fetched, but bear with me for another minute.

What happened in America is like what will soon happen to that apple. Look at your apple and understand the wealthy don’t want you or anyone else to have that part that is theirs, so what they did was take three of those apple slices away.

You see, that is what happened over 45 years ago in America. Three-quarters of that apple was taken away. Removing most of the tax revenue the wealthy and corporations used to pay.

Our government runs with tax revenue, and what they did years ago by removing that tax revenue from the wealthy and the corporations created a nation of people who are struggling and having a hard time trying to make ends meet.

From the time Reagan was in office, they set up a way of controlling the people. As they did, they increased the costs of all things, sending their technology overseas, removing the employees, and increasing the taxation on all of you.

But our population had to buy to survive. Today, we even must pay for water.

The poor, those who work hard to make a living, our seniors, small businesses, and even small farms pay more.

In a country like America that pays for our military to protect the people, we find the costs have increased, but not to pay those who protect the nation.

It’s to pay more for corporations, the stockholders and CEOs who own and run the corporations that create the fuels, the weapons, and the armor.

Think of what it would be like if everyone paid their fair share again.

But can it happen?

I doubt it since so many of the wealthy have found places to hide the wealth they have accumulated over the years, and those of wealth and corporations have had judges and congress members change laws to protect them.

It’s the old saying, “IF YOU SCRATCH MY BACK, I WILL SCRATCH YOURS.”

Corporations gain more money, more land, and more laws to protect them, and those in Congress get nice campaign donations when it’s time to run for office again.

So how do we get back to what we were when everyone played fair and were honest and loyal to America?

There is only one way to change what is now in our nation, short of a real revolution, and walking in armed and removing every single elected official that does not work for the people and tossing them out in the streets.

First off, we must have elected officials who believe in using tax dollars to help the people, not vacations for the richest of our government and not for the drinks, dinners, fine clothes, and wonderful travel.

What we need, above all, are honest people.

We need people who don’t promote any religion.

We should have people who not only say they respect others but show it, and I mean to every single person, not just a few certain groups.

We need people who will sign on to a bill that says all politicians, no matter who, serve a maximum of eight years as the President does.

We need those same people to sign an agreement that will create a fair and honest tax program for all, removing all loopholes, tax credits, and offshore banking.

All taxes will be adjusted in accordance with wages, incomes, and profits for all people.

We need people who are willing to run our nation as our Founding Fathers once did but who are taking a fair and just wage, paying for what they need out of their own pockets, and the government helping with travel and housing expenses.

We need people willing to work for what the average wage earner makes and will use the same health care programs the rest of the people in the nation use.

NO PERSON SHOULD BE ABOVE THE LAW.

NO PERSON SHOULD TAKE ANYTHING FROM ANY PERSON, CORPORATION OR OTHER NATION TO HELP THEM.

In other words, to make all people feel like they have a real life again, we must have those of wealth paying according to what they make, just like any Jack, John, Howard, or Jane who makes an income.

Once we accomplish that, we will start to see a nation that not only works for the people but also helps them have better lives one more time.

America is a nation of people who ran for their lives and wanted safety and protection for themselves and their families. It has always been a place where people of every religion, race, or color could find a better life.

However, the wealthy of America are trying to turn our nation into a nation without dreams.

They wish to see us all running from that true greatness we have always loved.

America is a land where dreamer’s dreams can come true.
