Why, then, maybe the pieces would come together. Maybe we could move forward. Maybe we could breathe again. But sometimes, the very questions we ask in desperation are the same ones that keep us stuck.
In the kingdom of life, we’ve often been told not to question God. But I believe there’s more grace than that. It’s not wrong to speak honestly with Him. He is the safest place for your rawest emotions. You can tell Him where it hurts. You can tell Him what disappointed you. You can admit that you don’t understand and still revere Him as the only One who can heal, restore, and make sense of the pieces.
I like to think of life as a blueprint of our plans, hopes, and dreams. But God? God is the compass. He shows us where to go, even when the path feels unclear.
In seasons of crushing, we start to question our worth. We look at ourselves through a damaged lens, scars, rejection, grief, failure, and wonder, “How could God still use me?” That’s when the enemy whispers, “You’re too broken to be fixed. You’re too far gone for purpose. Your blueprint is ruined.”
But the devil is a liar.
God doesn’t throw away broken things. He restores them. He doesn’t rip up the blueprint. He rewrites it with grace.
Maybe life detoured your plans. Maybe heartbreak, insecurity, or isolation made you question your direction. Maybe rejection made you shrink, or grief left your heart heavy. But here’s the truth:
God is still the Architect. God is still the Compass. And brokenness is not failure—it’s the beginning of transformation.
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” Psalm 51:17
The word “broken” appears many times in scripture, but not once does it say someone was too broken to be healed. And that includes you.
When you surrender your hands, your hurt, your weariness, and your broken pieces to God, He builds from them. From those very cracks, He brings forth endurance, strength, tenacity, deeper faith, richer wisdom, and greater compassion.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
So no, you are not a mistake! You are not a failure! You are not too far gone! You are a testimony in the making, or maybe you’re already a living testimony, but the enemy tried to convince you otherwise.
Even if your blueprint is stained, weathered, torn, or rearranged by life’s detours, God’s hand is still guiding you. His story is not finished. Your purpose is still unfolding. And there is glory even in the pieces.
With all my heart,
Tarsha
