IMA MARIAM THE MOTHER OF YESHUA (JESUS) WAS FULL OF GRACE

By Dr. Y’Shua Yisrael

The Hebrew word Ima (e-ma) when translated is equivalent to the word, “mother” in English. The word mother, irrespective of the language, is a word of endearment, it touches the heart because it represents the highest principle of femininity. Mothers are the gates of heaven through which the soul enters into the earth plane. Mothers are entrusted with the custodianship of life; woman is the garden of life, into which the seed of life is sown. Mothers pass their genetic and DNA materials to their children ensuring the perpetuation of life, in both the physical and spiritual potentiality. The word Ima is the foundation upon which the Hebrew family is built; it is the mother who likes the sacred candles and recites the blessings that welcome the presence of the Holy Shabbat.

The Hebrew Israelite Yeshua was born to an unwed teenage girl by the name of Mariam. Mariam was by no means an ordinary girl, she was precocious, intuitive, contemplative, prayerful, and modest. Mariam was an extraordinarily evolved soul, her level of spirituality exceeded that of all women, and yet because of her humility she; like the most beautiful flowers in nature, remains unseen. Mariam’s path was that of purity and holiness, her level of consciousness, afforded her celestial perception, dialogue with the Angels, and the realization of the one true God of Israel.

The Arch Angel Gabriel was sent to Mariam by יהוה (Yahweh). The Arch Angel explained that indeed, as indicated by the multiplicity of her spiritual charisms, she was indeed highly favored! Unlike any other ordinary woman, she would conceive a child miraculously. The holy child was to be named,” ישוע ” (Yeshua). This name means that Yah (Yahweh) alone, is the Savior. The name Yeshua is a word in the holy language of God and the prophets called, “ Lashon Ha Kodesh” ( the holy tongue); a sequential progression of divine letters that can not be translated faithfully into English. The name in no way conveys the egotistical notion that the bearer of the name is the savior; that would be the height of egocentrism! Rather, it announces that Yah, alone is salvation, welfare, and deliverer.

Upon hearing the Arch angel’s proclamation, like any teenage girl, Mariam stood in disbelief; and yet in her selflessness said, “Let it be unto me, according to God’s will”. The community upon seeing Mary’s pregnancy immediately rejected and scorned her, but Joseph, being a righteous man, also spiritually enlightened, loved Mariam and took her as his wife and raised Yeshua as his own son. Mariam and Yoseph were students of the Torah and raised Yeshua to be a righteous man. Yeshua inherited from Mariam’s level of consciousness a superior intellect, spiritual intuition and insight into the thoughts of others, clairvoyance, and perspicacity with humanistic traits such as; friendliness, compassion, truthful, charity, kindness, humility, altruism, duty, integrity and lack of pretension. Being contemplative, Mariam kept this matter to herself and perpetually contemplated the words that the Angel had spoken to her.

Yeshua grew in wisdom, understanding, and fortitude. Mariam saw her reflection in Yeshua in his preference for prayer and solitude; therefore, she adored Yeshua, and encourage him to always engage in secluded prayer. Like his mother, Yeshua was gifted with the ability to communicate with angelic beings, nature, and wild animals. His search for enlightenment; the inner kingdom of heaven, was relentless, yielding an unparalleled ascension to the highest pinnacle of human development; God-consciousness. By the age of 12, he had mastered the Rabbinic teachings of his tradition and obtained mastery of the Hebrew letters which endowed him with mystical abilities. For example, Yeshua turned water into wine, multiplied bread and fish, and like the prophet Elijah, raised the dead.

However, the prophet Elijah, not only raised the dead but he brought down fire from the sky and entered heaven, alive. Yeshua Ben Mariam, (Jesus) like all other Zadok’s before him loved and honored his parents; it is one of the most cherished Mitzvahs. From the perspective of Yeshua, his Mother was both human and divine. It was Mariam’s blood supply that sustained Yeshua during his gestation period; nurturing his body and soul while in her Holy womb. Imagine the transformation that occurred to Mariam’s soul, heart, body, and psycho-physiology during her period of gestation. Mariam carried the divinity of God in her womb which sanctified her beyond ordinary human consciousness. Being omniscient, Yeshua knew of his Mother’s ultimate status, that Mariam was the impeccably chosen vessel into which he was descended into humanity.

Most importantly, Yeshua knew that Mariam’s heart would be permanently broken upon witnessing his brutal death. Therefore, he reserved a special place for her in the world to come. There is no doubt, that he placed her above all other humans, and as with any loving son; whatever status he achieves, he shares with his mother; this is common sense and evident today in every society. With this in mind, the Gospel informs us that Yeshua ascended into Heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. It only makes sense that his mother Mariam must also be seated around the heavenly throne with him. Consequently, it is befitting to hail her,“ Queen of Heaven”. I was taught, like all of you, to defend the integrity of my mother in all circumstances, at all times.

Moreover, we look unfavorably upon anyone who does not respect, and esteem our mothers; especially those who profess to love us! How do you think Yeshua feels? The apple is never greater than the tree from which it fell; without the tree, there is no apple. Likewise, from this broad perspective, it’s clear to me that Miriam therefore, plays a preeminent role in the salvation of humanity. It is Mariam’s “ yes, let it be unto me, according to your divine will”, that changes the destiny of the world by opening a new spiritual gateway for humanity. As I am one with my mother, and you are one with your mother, likewise Mariam is one with her divine Son. The incarnation of Mariam is inexplicably related to that of her son Yeshua.

The angelic salutation, “Hail Mary, full of Grace, יהוה (Yahweh ) is with you is the celestial proclamation of Mariam’s exalted, spiritual status and her preeminence; without Mariam there would have been no Yeshua (Jesus).
