WHO’S FIGHTING FOR BLACK MALES?

With all of the talk about LGBTQIA rights, Latino/Immigrant rights, and Women’s rights, are we now assuming Black men have rights? If so, who is fighting for us?

This is not to take away the need for “justice for all,” but the last I checked, Black males remain overly incarcerated, the first shot by police, the first shot by gangs, the first murdered by White supremacists, the first to receive longterm out-of-school suspensions, the last to be chosen from the pool of “minorities” or “diversity” (which now includes women of all races, LGBTQ of all races, foreigners of all nationalities, immigrants of all races, etc.).” The economic gap has grown. The growing disparity means that in 2022, for every $100 in wealth held by white households, Black households held only $15. Blacks are lagging behind all groups.

In cases where Black men are accused, we are least likely to receive fair and impartial due process or a fair trial, and most likely to receive long-term prison sentencing and death row. Lastly, the health of black men consistently ranks lowest across nearly all groups in the United States.

So again I ask, who is fighting for the Black male in America? “The nation’s oldest and largest civil rights organization has stopped fighting for Black males.” In fact, Black men have even stopped fighting for Black males and are more likely today to fight and kill each other at an early age.

Black men are falling through the cracks in every category. The race of Black Americans cannot “advance” or even survive while leaving the Black male behind.
