Recently, thousands of Americans took to the streets of this great nation to show solidarity in the No Kings protest. We are now looking at the very root of poison that is out to kill our democracy as we watch this unfold in Canada. This is the most dangerous and threatening weapon to ever attack our country, and it’s happening in our government, our own country, our own White House.
The President of the United States of America has made his stand at the G7 Conference in front of the whole world. Donald Trump declared his hatred for Democrats and made accusations of serious consequences against the Democratic leaders in our country. He posted on his Truth Social, “These Radical Left Democrats are sick in mind, hate our country, and actually want to destroy our inner cities- and they are doing a good job of it. There is something wrong with them.” There is something wrong, alright, but it is not the Democratic leaders of our country!
Trump has made the allegation that cities that are governed by Democratic leadership are “the core of the Democrat Power Center where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good-paying jobs and benefits from hard-working American Citizens.” This is an outright LIE and dangerous propaganda against our own country by our own President.
Trump has commanded ICE to go onto our college campuses, farms, hotels, and businesses, where they are to pick up these people and take them into custody. Students who are here in our country to get an education. Workers who have a visa to be here and are paying taxes. These people have a right to be here and are not terrorists or out to hurt anyone. The real sad part of this story is that Trump has instructed ICE to NOT go onto any of HIS properties to arrest anyone because his donors don’t like it. Trump has been known in the past to rely heavily on foreign labor at his resorts, hotels, and restaurants. And he added, “Oh, and leave the farmers alone, too. They voted for me.” He has targeted “Blue States” and declared these cities the “enemy of the country.” Don’t think for one second that Republicans do not live in these Blue States; however, since they are not the majority and cannot help him win an election, then they do not count in Trump’s great big beautiful plan. Can you see what is happening here? It’s a sick idea of his loyalty that if you do not bow to his kingdom, he wants to destroy you.
Trump is in Canada to attend the G7 Conference, and today during a press conference, he was interrupted by the Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney after he publicly slandered President Joe Biden, accusing him of “allowing murderers, killers, people of gangs, people from jails into the United States.” He did his usual put-downs on President Obama that he always likes to do when he is in front of a camera. This was embarrassing, humiliating, and downright wrong for him to use this particular opportunity to continue his jealous rant on two Democratic presidents. What did Trump do after he was shut down by Carney? He walks out! He didn’t get his way, so he is going to take his little red wagon and leave just like the man-child he is.
Trump’s big, very expensive parade this past weekend did not go as he had planned. The crowd was very small, and he was obviously upset. He has ranted on his podcast and screamed at the people who didn’t deliver his nazi birthday present as he wanted. Instead, WE, the American people, took that day to organize, march, and protest his tyranny in America. His revenge is to declare his newfound enemy, the American cities with Democratic leaders, and he is sending “his” troops, namely ICE, to attack them. We are being attacked by our President. What is Congress doing about this? The Republican majority of our government is sitting there like a deer in headlights and afraid to move.
Here in Talibama, we have no protection against this terror attack. Tommy Tuberville has made his stand to support Trump in all of his illegal actions. This is a man who now wants to be our Governor. Not one single Representative in the House from Alabama has the guts to stand up to Trump. They all, including Robert Aderholt, bow down to Trump because they are either too much of a coward to stand up for the laws that they took an oath to protect, or they are just like him. This is more serious than it is being played out to be. We are standing in the doorway to becoming a dictator-run country. Every Democrat in Congress is a target. Every Democratic mayor of every liberal town and city has been named his target. This is not happening in Iran. It is happening in the United States of America. Russia, China, and North Korea are sitting back and watching as their boy Trump is doing their bidding for them. We are exploding within as our own president is leading the army to destroy our democracy. This is not the America my Daddy defended in Germany. This is not the America for which my friend, Larry Robison, died in Vietnam. This is not the America that hard-working Americans have strived to make the greatest country in the world. But….it is still OUR America, where freedom rings and the home of the brave. We cannot lose it. We cannot elect people like Tommy Tuberville to help Trump destroy Alabama. We cannot sit back and let Robert Aderholt continue to use his seat in our House to keep Alabama poor while he lives his life of luxury at our expense. We can change this by doing one simple thing,…. VOTE! We can take their power, and we can send them packing with their tails tucked by exercising our right to vote. Let’s do it while we have it because it, too, can be taken away by this administration. Nothing surprises me anymore, and I take nothing for granted. Don’t be afraid to stand up. Be afraid not to.
