The LORD has given me a new song to sing –
A hymn of praise to His holy name.
When troubles surround me – too many to count;
I sing songs of praise to bring me out.
He shields and rescues me from the hand of the enemy;
His unfailing love and faithfulness always protects me.
With a hymn of praise, I have learned to sing;
He is my helper, my Savior, and King.
I sing of His goodness – the joy He brings to my heart;
with blessings so numerous, where do I start?
I take delight in what the LORD has done;
Joyfully, I express it in the words of my song.
