What are, as Republicans like to call them, “ENTITLEMENTS?”
Do they always need to make our benefits sound like we don’t deserve them?
First, things you WORK for and PAY for that you get a return on are not entitlements. Things like Social Security, Medicare, Paid vacations, holidays, retirement packages, etc.
HOWEVER, I DID SAY IT WAS WHAT YOU WORKED FOR AND PAID FOR.
Every citizen in our nation who pays taxes can collect Social Security and, when you retire, gain Medicare because you worked for it and PAID INTO IT.
People who come into our nation who have not yet gained citizenship can’t get those things. None of their work in our nation gives them Medicare or Social Security benefits.
However, all those people are paying taxes to run our nation. Maybe with a house they bought or at the store, property taxes, and IT ALL ADDS UP to the fact they don’t get any return until they become a citizen of the United States of America.
When they reach 65, they must continue working to support themselves and their families. They have to work to pay huge medical bills and finish paying for that house, and they are still paying to help run our nation.
As an American citizen, you deserve to get back what you paid into.
YOU WORKED FOR IT, AND YOU PAID INTO IT.
Since the wealthy started dumping money into people running for office, we have seen corruption, and it’s been worse since they BOUGHT AND PAID FOR REGAN.
Ronnie would never have won if the wealthy, a few wealthy Nazis, and some corporations had not gotten involved.
Jimmy Carter had spent most of his time in office helping people with an increase of nearly eight million jobs and a decrease in the budget deficit.
Iran’s assets were first frozen by U.S. President Jimmy Carter in 1979 after revolutionaries overthrew the U.S.-allied Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi’s administration and took American hostages.
Carter had been working to get those people free, but as Ronnie was approached and asked to run, he agreed, and he was like an obedient dog who did as he was told.
The wealthy contacted Iran and said, “If you keep the hostages until after Reagan wins the election and is inaugurated, we will make sure your assets are unfrozen, and we will even toss in weapons.”
On the day Reagan was inaugurated, those hostages were freed.
If you have no understanding as to how Reagan and the wealthy destroyed the American dream, google it.
Ask the questions: Who did Reagan tax, and did the trickle-down theory work? Who benefited while Reagan was in office? Who had taxes reduced by Reagan?
Since that time, Republicans in our congress have not worked for the people who pay their wages or the taxes to run our government.
THEY WORK FOR THE WEALTHY, WHO PAY THEM BETTER AND HELP KEEP THEM IN OFFICE.
You see, “REAL ENTITLEMENTS” are what members of our Congress who never work “REALLY GET.”
Three months of work a year, pay that is about $180,000.00 a year, 67 paid holidays, meals, haircuts, massages, travel, staff, offices, furniture for those offices, clothing allowances, a credit card for all the extra things you never have to pull money out of your pocket for other, “ENTITLEMENTS.”
On top of that, all medical is covered, and you have a huge pension when you leave office,
