GOOD TIDINGS

GOOD TIDINGS
LORD, I was just thinking the other day
How there is always a need to pray.
The Scripture reminds us that man ought to always pray;
Yet, we sometimes struggle with words to say.
But as we embark on the coming of a new year,
I pray for good tidings of joy, hope, and cheer.
We faced many challenges in the year just past;
But we are thankful to You, LORD, that they didn’t last.
Our weeping during the night brought joy in the morning;
And now we can stretch our faith into the New Year that’s dawning.
I bless You, LORD, for each day of knowing
That your love for us is faithful and ever growing!
BLESSINGS FOR A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  1. Your poem is very beautiful, Ms. Benson. You are so right that we should always pray because it is a powerful weapon on our spiritual journey through life—good and bad. Joy, hope, and cheer are the main things we need to pray for, as we embark on the New Year. I wish you and your family a blessed, happy New Year.
