A new day is dawning bringing in a New Year.
Why should we worry? Why should we fear?
We can reflect on the past year filled with tears of woe;
Or ponder the good things we want the New Year to show.
Seeking God’s guidance, I had to ask:
‘Is it possible for us to forget the pain of the past?’
The past year left pain and sorrow;
Through our weeping we saw no hope for tomorrow;
Yet tomorrow, a new day will dawn to bring in a New Year;
I pray it be filled with God’s promises of joy and good cheer.
May His promises make everything all right;
May he shield and protect you and your family both day and night.
