Matt. 5:13, 14 “Yea are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost its savor wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Can you hide a city that is sitting on top of a hill? It CAN’T be done. If a seasoning has no flavor, it has no value. If Christians don’t let their light shine for GOD they are worthless. If WE BLEND in with the world we are worthless. If we live for CHRIST we will glow like lights, showing others what CHRIST is like.
We hide our light by being quiet when we should speak, going along with the crowd denying right, letting sin dim our light. WHEN WE ignore the need of others we are sinning, believe it or not! So let us let our light shine. Stand up for right. My father and mother taught me to stand up for right if you have to stand alone. I have had to do that, but as long as I know that I am right, I don’t mind. As long as I got King Jesus, I will be alright.
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE, John 3:16.
Dear God help us to remember to let our light shine, help us to throw out the lifeline that others may accept you, and make Heaven their home. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen
