Romans 15:13 says, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” This scripture reminds us that God is the source of our hope. Where is our hope, and how do we measure it? We seek God in all things. The world’s standards, we might never add up, but our hope, character, and identity are found in God.
It’s the enemy’s job to keep our hearts and minds discontent, which can destroy how we see ourselves, how we see God, and how we believe in Him. Without hope, how can we receive the peace of God? May the God of hope fill us with peace beyond what we can conceive, making our faith and hope increase beyond what we could imagine.
We must come to God as we are, believing that He can heal and restore our lives, no matter how messy it is. He loves us and wants what is best for us. When we take our mess to Him, He turns it into a message. He gives peace in the midst of raging storms and can use even the deepest, ugliest parts of our lives for His glory. There is great power in what God can do when we are willing and believe.
Keep the faith, my friends. Trust that God is our hope, strength, and courage. He’s going to work it out.
