VETERANS AWARE! June 2023

“Let’s get down wit it”

Well, well, well we keep right on rolling along with life…
I wanted so many things to change…
I was promised a “Breakthrough”
…the enemy would have to pay back “seven-fold” Proverbs 6:31

But [if] he be found, he shall restore sevenfold, I’m still waiting on the rapture.

That’s when Christian believers who are alive, along with resurrected believers, will rise “in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.” I could give you scriptures, but I’ll let you do your own research.
With all the things going on in the world…here are some facts I bet you didn’t know…

President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863. It freed all enslaved people in the Confederate States that were fighting against the Union.
2 1/2 years later…2 1/2 years later the slaves were freed in Texas.  Why?
No Union soldiers were in Texas because she was not a battleground for the Civil War. Texas was isolated. (First time I heard this) Therefore the Emancipation Proclamation didn’t affect the slaves in Texas. So guess what? Slave owners in other Confederate states moved to Texas with their slaves, increasing the slave population…
So,  2 1/2 years later General Gordon Granger arrived at Galveston, Tx with 1800 Union soldiers and proceeded to take control of the state and put the Emancipation Proclamation in effect, freeing the 250,000 slaves that existed in the state of Texas.
1. President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863.
2. On April 9, 1865, the Civil War was officially over.
3. President Lincoln was assassinated 2 (two)
months before Granger arrived in Texas.
4. On June 19, 1865 — Major General Gordon Granger and 1200 Union Army troops marched to Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation and free the last enslaved Black Americans in Texas.
Prayer…Heavenly Father, we pray for justice and mercy, and grace for this country.

Eph. 6:12 … we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Thank you Lord for forgiving this land of its many injustices…we forgive because you forgave us by the death and resurrection of your Son, Jesus. We ask in the Name of Jesus by His shed blood. Amen, amen, amen

I AM VETERAN: OF THE VIETNAM WAR IN THE USAF

This is the true account of one black female veteran’s experience in the military during the Vietnam War to this present day and how she won over fear, intimidation, and rejection during and after her military service. It took her many decades to write the book because she wanted the book to be a blessing to many people male and female that have served their country and not been recognized.
