Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
1 Timothy 2:1-2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
The National Day of Prayer is held on the
First Thursday of May.
This year, it will be MAY 7, 2026
It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
The National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise, and Thanksgiving, called “Rededicate 250,” is to pray that God bless and protect America for the next 250 years and rededicate our country as One Nation under God
It will be on May 17, 2026, time 6:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m.
on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Announced by President Trump, the day-long event marks the nation’s 250th anniversary by focusing on prayer, thanksgiving, and rededicating the U.S. “one nation under God.”
My main prayer? Forgive my brothers and sisters from my heart. That’s just a parable, right?
Read: Matthew 18: 21-35
32 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ 34 In anger, his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”
I want to make this as simple as possible…I Forgive! I had been turned over to the torturers, ridiculed and prosecuted, saying I forgive, but it was not from my heart. Why do I know it wasn’t from my heart? It still hurts!
How do you forgive anyone, a people, a nation? How do you forgive? You go to God and ask Him to help you forgive, you plead the blood of Jesus…You ask for mercy.
I forgive you, my country, my fellow veterans, I forgive myself!
So much I have been forgiven for…I now return the favor, I forgive you, from my heart!
Don’t forget Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026
It honors U.S. military personnel who died. This is not a celebration; it honors all who served and died in service.
