Etowah County Democratic Women, Senator Doug Jones, Picnic

Recently, former United States Senator Doug Jones visited Gadsden for a barbecue at Noccalula Falls, hosted by the Etowah County Democratic Women.

More than 200 people attended to hear the former federal prosecutor speak, demonstrating an active Democratic party is alive in Etowah County.

“Senator Doug Jones has done significant work for the state of Alabama, and we were proud to host him to share his accomplishments and President Biden’s accomplishments with our community,” said Harolyn Morris, chair of the Etowah County Democratic Women.

Jones spoke about the work being done by the Biden administration to strengthen the economy and the need for Alabama Democrats to spread the message and grow the Party. He reported that It’s grassroots efforts like the folks gathering tonight,  this coming together all over the state that strengthens the Democratic Party.
“We can win in Etowah County,” said Kyle Pierce, Chair of the Etowah County Democratic Party. “If each one of us rolls up our sleeves and does the work, we will see returns at the ballot box.”
The Etowah County Democratic Women’s annual picnic has become a tradition for Etowah County Democrats to come together and grow their organization, building for the next election year.

The Etowah County Democratic Women meet on the first Thursday of the month at 5:30 at C&Js Crab Shack. The next meeting is set for August 3 @ 5:30. etowahdemocraticwomen@gmail.com
