I abhor you stay awakened night and/or day
Flooded images of police brutality……blue on black…..white on black
Can’t let it distract
Racism is alive and manifesting
Satan is overall keeping us all from resting
The moment you get pulled over by a Caucasian officer
Traffic stop caught by a body monitor
Mind begins to race
Wondering if your race will ultimately lead to a case
Lives have been slain
Too many to name
The fear that has been built
Takes us away from the continental quilt
My incident ended in a citation delivered and drive safe
What is it though when so many areas of the world are unsafe
We have to remove the generalization
We are only creating each other’s castration
See I am an African American woman who is not what you say I am
Just as every white person is not racist
Just as every black person is not a thug
Just as every Mexican is not out to take what’s yours
Just as every officer is not out to abuse the power
We are all created equal in his own eye
See although I did comply and my story won’t be televised
As I went to slumber the images presented were only magnetized
Awakened from a nightmare
Violence displayed amongst my most precious jewels
Taunts and slurs of racism too
Family matriarch steps in only to be beaten
Not from blue on black or white on black
Rather with Satan on Christ
Hate on Love
The absence of love is what brings us here
For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son
America……America please wake up
Elections are upon us
I refuse to be floorless
Take a stand
The nightmare I speak
