During these past several weeks I have overheard numerous conversations regarding the Israeli, and Palestinian war. These conversations, as you would expect are laced with venom and deep-seated emotions. Invariably, I have been asked, “Who are you for, the Jews, or the Palestinians? I have listened objectively to the deluge of emotions, justifications, and obfuscations, espoused by the supporters of both sides. As a cosmic ambassador exempted from emotional involvement, my perspective affords an objective overview of the phenomenon. I have witnessed firsthand, the terrible ravages and destruction that war brings; there are no winners. The adverse psychological impact is in estimable. Murder, and the images of death seemingly, become normalized; neither gruesome nor frightening. I’ve given considerable thought to why this war has started and I have concluded, that it is owed to one simple fact; humanity is ignorant of its authentic self. Humanity is stratified into tribes, in many respects myopic, alienated, and absorbed in short-term, vacuous, self-aggrandizing endeavors that ensure
dominance and continued exploitation of the disenfranchised. I call this condition, the cosmic masquerade. When someone attends a masquerade, they do not go as their true self. Rather, they dress- up and play the role of someone else other than themselves. I, for example, was born in Alabama and was conditioned to play the role of a Black man. Other souls were assigned to play roles in different ethnic groups i.e., caucasian, Jewish, Palestinian, Mexican, and Japanese. Moreover, in order to play these roles, we are required to forget our true, spiritual identity. The cosmic masquerade is the design of the Creator to teach perhaps, the single most important earthly lesson,” You are not your body”. The human body, put simply is a garment. The human potential greatly exceeds the boundaries of ethnicity, gender, or religion, i.e., Jewish and Palestinian. The individual is an impulse of pure consciousness incarnated into the space, time, and direction continuum for the growth and expansion of happiness. The goal of the human incarnation is to transform the small sense of self into a transcendental, cosmic, eternal being. When this is accomplished, man is said to be enlightened. Once an individual becomes enlightened, he no longer perceives himself as separate from the whole. Rather, like a man who puts on rose-colored spectacles, to him, everything is rosé colored. Enlightenment reveals what was hidden during darkness; that unity is omnipresent. The quintessential proclamation of Judaism is, that God is One; but
what does this really mean? To me it means, God is the unmanifest source of intelligence, depicted in the diversity of creation. As God is One, humanity is one. This is the vision of possibilities that I herald to those who ask me for my opinion. This is the ultimate reality and truth of our duality. As a combat-decorated, United States Marine, I know that there are no winners in war, only victims; those who participate are permanently wounded, physically, psychologically, emotionally, and spiritually. After watching the horrific images of the barbaric slaughter of women, and children, and hearing the thunderous impact of falling ordinance, the kidnapping of the elderly, and a litany of unspeakable atrocities; I felt that I should immediately hoist up the banner of the oneness of creation; with loud effects! I am writing to remind the readers that, this war between Israel and the Palestinians can be seen from a cosmological perspective when we set aside our prejudices and engage our contemplative faculties. Contemplation leads to the realization that what is observed superficially, as war between Israel and Palestine, in fact, is a cosmic reaction. this is especially true if you believe in divine providence, that is everything that happens is the will of God. In that geographical region, there is an awful history of violating the divine laws of righteousness that maintain, sustain, and ensure planetary harmony. Hence, the turmoil seen below corresponds to and reflects the celestial administration above, of the innumerable laws that ensure equilibrium or dis-equilibrium within the geographical region where this war is occurring. The actions are equilibrations, adjustments, compensation, and balancing of historic negativity. Once again, I will not engage in finger-pointing, rather, I will remind the readers that this war is orchestrated by the cosmic intelligence that determines the collective destiny of the world. The English theologian, Thomas Fuller is quoted as saying, it is darkest before the dawn and I agree. I believe that both parties will incur significant losses, perhaps one will decimate the other, who knows? This horrific episode, however, will usher in the new age. This war is essential to give momentum to the paradigm shift that has already taken place in the universe. The singular reality is consciousness.
In the Torah, Deuteronomy 6:4, as well as in the Gospel of Mark, 12:29, the oneness of God is forthrightly stated; but the word, God, isn’t defined. As the collective consciousness of society evolves, it is growing beyond the limited, tribal attachment to superstitions, folklore, and mythology. In this scientific age, there is a paradigm shift to the study of consciousness as the ultimate reality. The root of the word consciousness is the word, conscious, which in part, affords the answer. Consciousness means to be conscious or aware. But conscious of what? Conscious of itself in a three-in-one structure as the knower, the process of knowing, and the known. The scientific research on human metabolism, respiration, lactate generation, redistribution of blood flow, muscle metabolism, and electroencephalogram coherence during the practice of meditation has validated a fourth state of consciousness. A paradigm shift is a fundamental change in approach or fundamental assumptions. The old assumptions were based on religious mythology and folklore. The new paradigm is consciousness, a unified field with a three-in-one structure; simultaneously locatable at every point of its wholeness. Consciousness has two aspects: an unmanifest, eternal, and non-changing (2) a manifest, temporal, ever-changing aspect. The underdeveloped soul is born into the physical realm and socially conditioned to think of himself in terms such as race, gender, and religion, i.e., Yehudi and Palestinian. This narrow perspective is obsolete, considered a vestige of the past, a period when the understanding of total knowledge was incomplete. The human nervous system allows the mind to experience increasingly subtler states of its own activity until the state of least excitation is transcended. Once the small self is transcended, only the authentic Self, pure consciousness, remains. The practice of going beyond the small self refines the nervous system allowing it to maintain the field of unbounded pure consciousness while simultaneously engaged in activities. Without an experience of the authentic self, man remains ignorant of his authentic self, and identifies with his race, gender, and religion, i.e., Yehudi or Palestinian. Consequently, in ignorance, man is incomplete and unfulfilled. The lack of fulfillment expresses itself in acts of violence against himself and his fellowmen. Such acts of aggression disturb the automation of administration that guides human destiny. Whenever the equilibrium of the universe is imbalanced through a violation of nature’s laws, the organizing intelligence moves with alacrity to restore, balance.
Worldwide, we are witnessing a litany of unprecedented phenomena that are a reflection of this restoration. For example, the wildfires that destroyed the historic city of Lahaina Hawaii. The earthquakes that destroyed the lives of thousands in Afghanistan. And now, the brutal slaughter of innocent Jews by Hamas has initiated greater destruction and further demise. The IDF will reciprocate with an unprecedented show of force and destruction that will eviscerate Gaza. The world finds itself standing at the precipice of self annihilation; owing to ignorance of the singularity of consciousness. Men of goodwill have always sought to bring security, happiness, health, and well-being to all mankind, but in light of restricted or incomplete knowledge, his eternal happiness has never been achieved. Each one of you must act decisively by asking, what do you know about your own “ authentic Self? What can you do to thwart the continued rise of antisemitism? How can sympathy and support be shown to Palestinians? What can be done to foster international brotherhood among the religious? You can join in the quest to raise the collective consciousness in your communities. Finally, You can begin to try to see this world and its inhabitants through the spectacles of unity consciousness and espouse the singularity of creation.
