“Granny’s Nuggets” Process to the Promise

Tarsha Gunn

We often hear salvation is free. Do we ever talk about how much following God costs?  We usually don’t discuss the frequent costs associated with following God. The journey of faith often requires sacrifices and changes in our lives as we strive to align ourselves with God’s will. This can be hard as it means giving up things that may be and feel important to us, changing old habits, and stepping away from familiar ways, which include places and people we have become familiar with.

We become so accused of not seeking God first, but just handling business by habit; however, this always costs us something. Peace of mind, rest, and feeling distracted are some of the feelings we often experience. Being distracted by the slightest things. One small decision becomes overwhelmingly burdensome. Easy decisions seem to turn into uncertainty, despair, depression, anxiety, and a lack of seeing our way out. It is during these moments when it may seem like progress is a place that is very unfamiliar.

It can be hard to see past what we are facing in the present moment! Please know that God wants us to cast our burdens on him. He is willing to take the load.  Mist often it’s us who won’t or don’t know how to let it go.

The weight of challenging circumstances can become overwhelming, making it difficult to see a way out of our current struggles. However, it is in these very moments of despair that God invites us to surrender our burdens to Him. He offers to carry the weight that we find too heavy to bear on our own.

The journey of faith encourages us to seek God diligently, trust in His promises, and have faith that He will provide answers when we ask for guidance. He serves as our sanctuary and a constant source of strength. His faithfulness is unwavering, supporting us as we navigate the challenges and uncertainties of life. Through His grace, we are empowered to overcome obstacles and continue moving forward despite these difficulties. Our perseverance is fueled by His divine intervention, enabling us to make progress and grow spiritually through every trial we face.

The process and progress are positioned for the preparation that pays in the end.

Great potential that doesn’t go through the process can cost everything.

Lamentations 3:22-24

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
‘The LORD is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.”
