HAS THE PURITY OF THE TEACHING BEEN LOST?
When the foundation of the house starts to crumble eventually, the entire house implodes. The teachings of the Master are the key that unlock the door of heaven. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the disciples to always preserve and defend the exactness of his directives, and therefore, preserve the purity of the Master’s teaching. Why is this important you ask. The answer is because the Master’s level of consciousness is higher than that of his followers and knowledge is different in different states of consciousness. Knowing this, his followers cherish his every word and dare not add, subtract, or modify anything that the LORD says, especially as he is seen to them as God incarnate. A spiritual ritual inaugurated by the master is perfectly designed to stand the test of time. The Master’s words act as a formula for continued growth and ascendancy to higher levels of sanctification. In this age of technology, when a methodology provides results in a repeatable, systematic, and verifiable manner, it is said to be scientific. The corridor of time is long and circuitous, and inevitably, the insidious forces of change impinge on the purity of the Master’s teaching which is why true disciples are simultaneously called, not just to be the proponents, they are called to be the defenders of the Master teaching.
Invariably, owing to the long lapse of time and the difference between the Master’s level of wisdom and that of the student’s lower level of interpretation; the Master’s teachings become misinterpreted, distorted, and eventually dies. When the master builder drafts a blueprint, it is done so with exquisite detail and insight, based on his wisdom and perspicacity. The Master architects, like Frank Loyd Wright, for example, design a building to withstand, over time the multifarious changes in weather, temperature, and natural decay. If the contractor deviates from any of the blueprint specifications, for any reason, the building will be imperfect, compromised, and will no longer reflect the perfection or the outcome intended by the architect. A brigadier general, who is astute at winning wars designs a battle plan that will ensure victory. However, if a private first class decides, in any way to deviate from the brigadier general’s war plan, victory will not be assured.
If an airline pilot deviates from the flight plan and changes the directions of the tower, regarding takeoff and landing, the passengers cannot be expected to arrive or land safely at the anticipated destination.
Whenever subordinates dare to deviate from the explicit directions of their leaders, the probability of failure is significantly increased and an unfavorable outcome is assured. Why, because the teacher or instructions were not strictly followed. In the sacred tradition, this is called, an impure teaching.
The teaching of Jesus (Yeshua)to his disciples regarding how they should celebrate his memorial has seemingly, become impure; and consequently, powerless to effect radical spiritual awakening, or transformation in the lives of parishioners. The theme of Yeshua’s (Jesus ) ministry is” The kingdom of heaven is at hand. This means that the kingdom of heaven is available today in the person of its king, Yeshua (Jesus); the king of heaven. Heaven on Earth has been available since its inauguration 2000 years ago on the level of consciousness. The institution of the holy Eucharist is the means by which the consciousness of the disciples is transmuted into that of the master. When the tree becomes disconnected from its roots, it cannot be expected to live or bear fruit. Regrettably, in the case of the Eucharist, the structure has been modified and replaced with the theology of men. On the night that this mystery of faith was instituted, it was done so with very specific wording. The Lord Yeshua in the tradition of Melchizedek, the king of Salem and priest of the most high God, El Eliyon commanded his disciples to offer bread and wine; they are symbolic of his physical body that is transmuted into spiritual substance, to become the disciple’s spiritual food and drink. This commandment is eternal, his words are anointed, and that anointing forever speaks to the hearts of the faithful ensuring strict adherence to his words, “Do this in memory of me”. Through the eyes of faith, the bread and wine are transmuted, becoming the body and blood of the Lord. The ineffable power of the body and blood of the Lord is far superior to any bacteria, germ, or disease because in its essence it is divinity (purity). When the branches are severed from the roots, they no longer receive sap and die. The COVID-19 pandemic traumatized the Church’s leadership which fostered a significant diminution of faith in the power of the Eucharist. Why would I say this? The church teaches the transubstantiation, which is, the change in substance from bread and wine into the body and blood of Jesus. Now, if this were really true, there would be no reason to modify the accouterments used in the Mass in the face of COVID-19, or any disease. But rather, in times of crisis, you make an extraordinary effort to provide and ensure the reception of both species. However, the church capitulated, lost faith, and was seemingly intimidated, prioritizing, fear and health concerns over faith. The chalice of precious blood, which is a supernatural mystery of faith, was superseded by logic and fear. Indubitably, this, in my view, is a muted, yet flagrant act of disbelief in the transubstantiation. In other words, the wine isn’t transformed into the precious blood of Jesus. Moreover, and perhaps most egregious, the practice of offering only bread (body) contradicts and disobeys the teachings of the Master; Yeshua-Jesus Christ. It is my belief that the current practice of withholding rather than bestowing the cup while saying, “Take this all of you and drink from it,” is contradictory, and confusing. Perhaps, dishonest, haphazard, and a violation of the words of God. The word Eucharist means “thanksgiving”, somehow the practice of withholding is incongruent with the word, thanksgiving. Minimizing the accoutrements offered in holy rituals such as withholding the chalice, to me exemplifies a lack of faith in the words of the Lord. In the Torah; the blood is the life, Deuteronomy 12:23.
Those who have been called to drink from the chalice of the Lord should no longer remain silent. There is an old spiritual saying, “To whom much is given, much is required. I have been given much, and my life is not my own, it is my spiritual gift! My name, identity, gifts, education, and talents, are all the ineffable effects of both species of the holy Eucharist, “ except you eat my flesh and drink my blood You have no life in you“. My article is written to encourage Church administrators, and the anointed members of the Knights of Columbus to advocate for the re-institution of the holy chalice which is consistent with the words of our Lord, “Do this in memory of me.
